Ms. Yap, the founder of Wanconnect, is an approved auditor under the domestic Companies Act, Chartered Accountant (CA) of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants and has obtained Grad ICSA from Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), United Kingdom. She has more than 20 years of working experience in the accounting profession.

She has extensive experience with clients in a range of industries, which includes plantation, consumer and industrial products and trading companies, property development and construction.

She is also involved in conducting company-wide annual risk assessments, assignments related to regulatory compliance, operational auditing, and financial auditing, preparation of accountants’ reports, review of prospective financial information for the submission to the relevant authorities for IPOs and corporate exercise and assignments. In addition, she has been actively involved in SST/GST implementation, compliance, planning, appeal, and consultancy engagement for various clients ranged from small and medium enterprise, multinational companies and listed companies in Malaysia.

She is constantly sought by many companies as well as high net worth individuals and SME for her practical strategies as to tax planning, corporate restructuring as well as transfer pricing exercise. She is heavily involved in terms of tax advisory engagement, tax audit, tax investigation and transfer pricing. Her clients include companies from logistics, trading and manufacturing industries.

She also conducted professional talks to the public, University, associations as well as conducted in-house income tax and indirect tax training for local companies and public practice firms.

Mr. Liew, the co-founder of Wanconnect, is an approved auditor under the domestic Companies Act, Chartered Accountant (CA) of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants and a Fellowship Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”), UK with over 20 years’ practical experience in providing assurance services (external & internal audit), due diligence services and initial public offering (“IPO”) & reverse takeover (“RTO”) in Singapore, Malaysia, People Republic of China, Taiwan and Indonesia throughout his employment in medium tier audit firms at Singapore and Malaysia.

He had lead audit teams to conduct statutory audit and diligence services for his portfolio of clients in various industries.

He also managed assignments related to regulatory compliance, operational auditing, and financial auditing, preparation of accountants’ reports, review of prospective financial information for the submission to the relevant authorities for IPOs and corporate exercise and assignments on designing the standard operational procedures for several listed companies. He had lead audit teams to conduct statutory audit and diligence services for his portfolio of clients in various industries.

Ms. Cynthia Tan is a Tax Agent approved under S.153 of Income Tax Act, Chartered Accountant (CA) of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants and Member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

She has more than 15 years of extensive experience with clients in a range of industries, which includes manufacturing, trading, construction, and service line in assisting them on matters relating to accounting, human resource, business compliance and income tax and indirect tax.

She also conducted professional talks to the public, associations as well as conducted in-house income tax and indirect tax training for local companies and public practice firms.

She is also a certified trainer under Human Resource Development Fund (“HRDF”) in Malaysia in which he was actively providing in-house and public trainings in relation to GST, SST, compliance audit, Malaysia Accounting Standards, Malaysia Auditing Standards, Income tax and etc.

Ms. Zovy, the co-founder of Wanconnect, is a Chartered Accountant (CA) of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants and a Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”), UK.

She started her career in BDO Malaysia since 2007 in audit operation and audit & assurance before joining Wanconnect Consulting Group in 2014. She has more than 10 years’ experience in auditing of small to medium private companies and public listed companies in various industries which include retailing, trading, food and beverage, manufacturing, logistics, property development and investment holding.

She has also involved in special assignments such as financial due diligence, preparation of accountant’s report and Goods and Service Tax (“GST”) implementation.

He has managed a portfolio of listed and non-listed statutory audit clients and special assignments, which include financial due diligence, investigation, preparation of accountants’ reports, and review of prospective financial information for submission to the relevant authorities for IPOs and corporate exercises.
